You’ve been wearing one since your were a teenager, but do you know everything you should about your bra? We’ve compiled a list of all the best tips and facts about your bra and how to make sure it’s working for you.
Never wear your bra twice in a row. This doesn’t mean you need to wash your bra every time you wear it, but the band needs time to regain its elasticity between wears.
Make sure your bra fits! Your bra size will likely change a few times in your life because of weight gain/loss, pregnancy, and age, so pay attention to your body and how your bra is fitting. Read our article on how to find your bra size here.
If your breasts are a B cup or larger, choose a bra with at least a 2 hook closure. Your bra band needs to be supportive not only to keep your boobs in check, but also to promote good posture and healthy circulation.
Protect your bras in the wash by using the delicate or hand wash cycle, a mild detergent and our Lingerie Wash Bag or Bra Safe. Make sure to always read the care instructions on the label before washing.
How many bras should you own? At least 3: one to wear, one to wash, and one on deck. However, we personally think there is nothing wrong with owning at least 3 times that many.
